CONFERENCE OBJECTIVE:

The International Scientific Conference "Safety, Science, Practice" organized by CNBOP-PIB introduces the Institute to the period of preparation, summaries and reflections related to the 50th anniversary of its existence, which will fall in 2022. Although the formal basis, organization and status have changed over the past half-century, the activities of CNBOP-PIB have been and are related to fire safety and its practical needs and challenges. Scientific research, their results, acquired knowledge and experience are, on the other hand, increasingly used to improve safety by implementing solutions in fire protection. Under these circumstances, we would like to invite all interested parties to participate in the event, which will consist of three sessions entitled: security, science, and practice, respectively. These sessions in the program were linked with a planned discussion, which is to foster the formulation of conclusions and recommendations for current and future activities.

Particularly noteworthy is the support that CNBOP-PIB received from scientific partners (i.e. universities and institutions from Poland and abroad), as well as from organizational units of the State Fire Service, organizations, associations and companies in the organization of the conference.

CONFERENCE FORM:

The conference will be held online. Participation in the conference is free of charge. The conference initiates a series of celebrations and events planned for 2022 in connection with the 50th anniversary of CNBOP-PIB.

 

CONFERENCE TOPICS:

Security

The evolution of already known threats and the emergence of new ones result in the need for continuous actions to forecast, prevent and intervene in them, and to provide help. New technologies are an additional source of solutions for security - however, it must be remembered that sometimes in practice they may also constitute new threats.

Science

The organization and conduct of research on security, as well as their results, more and more often serve their practical application, search for solutions and implementation in practice in various fields. Despite the noticeable progress in this area, both in Poland and other countries, efforts are still being made to ensure that knowledge contributes - to an even greater extent than at present - to solving real problems, and also serves the development and ability to satisfy social needs.

Practice

In practice, what counts is the effectiveness and the ability to use the available human and material resources in an optimal way. One of these resources is learning. A significant progress in this area can be observed with satisfaction, resulting in the implementation of new solutions and, consequently, a significant improvement in fire safety. However, there are still many issues, where combining the achievements of science and practice may lead to more effective than before solving specific problems. These needs should be discovered and consistently addressed.
