CNBOP-PIB carries out assessment and verification of constancy of performance of power, control and communication cables in terms of reaction to fire according to system 1+, which is required for the manufacturer to issue a declaration of performance and to mark construction products with CE marking.

The processes of assessment and verification of constancy of performance are carried out according to the requirements of EN 50575:2014+A1:2016.

The activity in question falls within the scope of accreditation of CNBOP-PIB Certification Department as well as within the scope of CNBOP-PIB notification.

Legal framework

  1. Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) No. 305/2011 of 9 March 2011 laying down harmonised conditions for marketing of construction products and repealing Council directive 89/106/CEE (OJ L 88/5 of 4.4.2011),
  2. Commission delegated regulation (EU) No 568/2014 of 18 February 2014 amending Annex V to Regulation (EU) No 305/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the assessment and verification of constancy of performance of construction products,
  3. Commission delegated regulation (EU) No 574/2014 of 21 February 2014 amending Annex III to Regulation (EU) No 305/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the model to be used for drawing up a declaration of performance on construction products,
  4. Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (EC) No. 765/2008 of 9 July 2008 setting out the requirements for accreditation and market surveillance relating to the marketing of products and repealing Regulation (EEC) No 339/93 (OJ L 218/30 from 13.8.2008).

  • Assessment of the performance of the construction product carried out on the basis of testing (including sampling), calculation, tabulated values or descriptive documentation of the product;
  • Initial inspection of the manufacturing plant and of factory production control (FPC);
  • Continuing surveillance, assessment and evaluation of factory production control;
  • Audit testing of samples obtained from the manufacturing site or the manufacturer's storage facilities.
