A comprehensive CNBOP-PIB offer in European certification of constancy of performance of cables and wires and assessing of performance of cables and wires in reaction to fire

Assessment of performance for reaction to fire of power, control and communication cables under AVCP System 3.

Scientific and Research Centre for Fire Protection National Research Institute (CNBOP-PIB) is carrying out assessment and verification of constancy of performance for reaction to fire of power, control and communication cables based on tests under AVPC system 3, which is necessary for manufacturer to draw up a declaration of performance and marking construction products with CE marking. The process of assessment and verification of constancy of performance is conducted in accordance with requirements included in EN 50575:2014+A1:2016. The activity in question falls within the scope of accreditation of Laboratory of Combustion Processes and Explosions (AB 1280) and scope of European Commission notification (NB 1438).

According to Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) No. 305/2011 under AVPC system 3 the task of the notified test laboratory is the assessment of performance on the basis of tests (based on samples collected by the manufacturer).

Assessment and verification of constancy of performance for reaction to fire of power, control and communication cables under AVCP System 1+.

We also recall that Scientific and Research Centre for Fire Protection National Research Institute (CNBOP-PIB) is carrying out assessment and verification of constancy of performance for reaction to fire of power, control and communication cables based on tests under AVPC system 1+, which is necessary for manufacturer to draw up a declaration of performance and marking construction products with CE marking. The Process of assessment and verification of constancy of performance is conducted in accordance with requirements included in EN 50575:2014+A1:2016. The activity in question falls within the scope of accreditation of the Certification Department in CNBOP-PIB and the scope of the European Commission Notification.

Obligations of notified body under system 1+:

  • Assessment of the performance of the construction product carried out on the basis of testing (including sampling), calculation, tabulated values or descriptive documentation of the product;
  • Initial inspection of the manufacturing plant and of factory production control (FPC);
  • Continuing surveillance, assessment and evaluation of factory production control;
  • Survey tests of samples obtained from the manufacturing site.
